The KKK leader stepped to the podium, his hood lowered around his shoulders and a look of disgust on his face. He said, "Sorry guys but this will be our last meeting; we're going out of business."
A member stood up in back. "But why sir?"
The leader sighed, "Well, reverend, the niggers are doing a better job getting rid of themselves than we ever did, so we are no longer needed."
There were rumblings and protest. The leader raised his hand to silence the Klan members, and said, "Their rap music says more vile things about black women than we ever thought of."
The members grudgingly nodded in approval. The Imperial Dragon continued: " And their women write books and make songs that demean black men better than my two speech writers ever could", looking down at two men seated in front who lowered their heads.
"They shoot each other constantly ", he continued;" And as a group, they spend a huge amounts of money on cars, liquor, that stuff they call bling bling, and the proliferation of rap music -- as they talk about all that shit in their magazines -- and nobody needs us to talk about how a lot of their sorry asses keep playing the race and victim cards while complaining that other groups are surpassing them in economic development and supposedly getting more attention in schools. Hell, they even support a so-called "Black Hair" DVD that a white man is making money on , in four sequels at $20.00 a pop, talking about how Koreans have taken over the "black hair" industry without acknowledging that Black entrepreneurs had 100 years to get a monopoly or intrenchment in the industry that Madam C.J Waker founded 100 years ago, but got out-hustled and out-strategized while spending investment capital elsewhere. Let's face it, they're being hoisted by their own petards."
Some members went looking for dictionaries, while most members nodded as it hit them that their job was finished; that blacks had become their own worst enemy.
The leader shook his head. "It's time to go back to our regular lives as policemen, judges and congressmen, and leave the business of getting rid of niggers to niggers. They are just better at it than us."
He then threw his hood on the ground and walked off the stage. Thus ended the last KKK meeting.
This may be a joke, but it is true. I have often talked about how we are more enslaved now, than we have ever been since the end of the reconstruction era. The African American race has become a culture that is attacking and killing itself and there is no longer a need for KKK when we do it ourselves. The horrible image of African American people has been promoted by black people themselves and sadly we as African Americans respect that image and call it being real. Yeah we real. Real Dumb.
When rappers do the regular in videos and music, such as an overload of profanity, calling our women whores and bitches and have them in the video shaking their naked rear end in front of a camera, saggy pants with grills blinging in our mouths, spending an extravagant amount of cars, clothes and jewlery, an image is sent to our youth and to other cultures. Our children act these records out spending money that they parents do not have on shoes and clothes and using violence to get what they want. The videos show to get a man or baller, women need to present themselves as whores. Sex for material things ridiculous. This is why most black men are refer to as thugs and hoodlums while our women are consider whores.
Don't believe that. Recently, my friend told me about how she was at a club dancing when these to foreigners walk up to her. When they started dancing with her, the put their hands on her buttocks, then began rubbing on her. She was offended obviously and their is no justification for their action. Yet, I believe that they might of watch MTV or BET and saw how we display and treat our women and figure that what people do. Eddie Murphy had a bit about how people would see his show and remeber the curse words and greet with "F**K you Eddie, You the F**K you man". They did this because these are the words and images most commonly associated with Murphy's early work and I believe that it happens to our people because of the images and lyrics attached to the "representation of our people".
We no longer value education and hard work and blame the failure of black empires on racism. The "Black Hair" DVD that is mention talks about how Asian are the leading African American stylist and cosmotologist despite Walker's impact on the industry. The reason why is that we want "things" quick, fast, and extravagant. This is one reason why the African American high school graduation rate is so bad. Rather than work hard and study, we want things fast. In Chicago, more than half of inner city black men graduate from high school, and of that group, more than 60% of that group finds themselves in jail. We got to change our perspective and attitude,
I believe that this is problem is systematic. I believe that the failure of African Americans is setup and perpetuated through the African American youth's mind. Schools are obviously worst off in black communities than in any other area. The system keeps us in a circle as are parents are poor, so the kids attend poor schools, raising students who cannot meet standards, who start low paying jobs and the cylce continues. I do understand that.
But I also believe in personal accountabilty. For anyone that has read the autobiographies of Malcolm X and Fredrick Douglass can see that the systems that have been set in place in the United States is to hold African Americans as a lesser people. Every system that has been in place has tried to hide or blur are identity and then feed us what we should be. They witheld every type of information from slaves, told blacks that they were monkeys in the 1900, and now they tell us we are thugs, hoodlums, whores who just pop babies out constantly and the only way out is through rap music that spreads that message to others, or through sports to show that athleticism. They have always lied to us.
Yet, after 500 years, we know their tricks and techniques and too many African Americans have succeded and wrote and talked about it. We know are schools are poor, so let work harder and get into better schools. Instead of spending money of Cars, rims, and jewlery, how about we build a portfoilo with houses, stocks and bonds, businesses and more. It is time to reinvent ourselves.
This jokes are funny but they are satire. They are real life situation said in a joking manner, but they are real life. Stop looking at your schools and look at the whole. One professor at Depaul said out of 10 men, 7 will have a jail record in Chicago. Out of that 10, 6 will finish high school. Out of that 6, 2 will finish College. By the at of 35, a large majority will have a jail record and make minimal wage. Please people, let do something about it. Let teach and enlighten people. Let us be the voices for the people. Let us open their eyes. It is our responsibilty.
