Please do not turn your nose at my children

For they are not hopeless, just helpless

Remember child that this where you began

And had I not took you upon my breast

There you would be too

I know you got your college education

You are earning a six figure salary

Doctor they say is your salutation

But you just think where you would be

Had I not loved you

You are not where you are because of you

You have no right to look down on my youths

Cause not long a go they were struggling with you

Until I took my hand and reachd out to you

Showing you what you could do

My children have not seen the world you seen

They have the experience the better of life

They never seen a street so nice and clean

Never knew what it like to feel safe at night

So why hurt them like you do

Help my children the way that I help you make it

Do not turn your back on them and leave them

I want you to show them how they can have it

I want you to show them that two people believe in them

And we see more successes like you
